Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day weekend was a fun one that included dahlias, salmon, a waterfall and very little sleep.

These were all taken at the annual Dahlia festival. It is at the largest dahlia farm in the United States and it was very pretty. I took Katie there for our anniversary. 8 years! Dahlias are her favorite flowers. Good thing we live so close to this farm so I didn't have to spring for airline tickets.

Then on Tuesday we went up the gorge and visited the Bonneville @#!*% to see the salmon run and to go on a hike to Fairy Falls.

At the Bonneville Dam they have a little movie theater room where they show an educational film about the history and construction of the dam. Nobody goes to see the movie, which worked out perfect for us. Katie had an air conditioned, multi seat theater to breast feed in.

Eva slept for most of the hike, but once we reached the falls and took her out of the carrier she was not a happy baby. Fairy Falls will forever be renamed "Crying Baby Falls". It was a beautiful, very steep, 1.2 mile  hike to the falls and afterwards we stopped at a little place in Troutdale to get dinner. You probably can't tell from the pics but Eva is wearing three different outfits throughout the day because her diapers "over runneth" with poo poo.

Looks like fun! You guys are very exciting parents! I usually just let Michael play in the closet when he wants adventure.
