The piano players

Penny and I took an in-town vacation. We stayed at the Peery Hotel in downtown SLC. It was built in 1912 so it fit our age. This is the lobby.

A baby on the beach is no day at the beach

Most of these pics of our day at Cape Kiwanda are of Christine and Michael because as we hiked around and played on the beach Eva mostly just sat covered over in her car seat with Katie sitting right next to her on our blanket. When your baby can't walk, swim, keep sand out of her eyes and mouth or even wipe her own bum then there is not much for her to do on the beach, but she was still a trooper and loved looking at the inside of her car seat for a few hours.

Michael touching an anemonemone

While standing out on this rock all three of us got wet from a huge wave that splashed up and scared Micheal and me.

Christine running down the very large and very tiring to climb up sand dune, I was waiting for her to trip and faceplant it, which would have made a much better picture, but she was taking it Allison style; not slow enough to put you to sleep but not so fast that it actually becomes fun.

The water cycle is made up of evaporation, condensation, precipitation and peeing in the lake

With Christine in town we went out to our nearest neighborhood volcano and spent the day at the lake.
