Who dat say dem waves be big?

We took off for the coast on Monday and went to Cape Kiwanda. We had the whole beach to ourselves, as far as we could see. The cape is famous for it's spectacular waves, some of which splashed up over 60 or 70 feet high.

Little Ma and Pa restaurant where we got breakfast.

We hiked to a waterfall in the coastal mountains, but for Oregon it wasn't that cool, but it did have a really cool suspension bridge that crossed a deep gorge.

And we caught a salamander.

There is a giant sand hill at Cape Kiwanda. It is cool, but very tiring to climb up.

Then we watched a romantic sunset and whispered romantic things to each other. Transcript of romantic things said:
Bennett: "When we get home I am going to do the dishes and fold all the laundry"
Katie: "I think we should buy a giant flatscreen T.V."

Wow, so pretty! That salamander picture reminds me of the one on the Simpsons with the cat hanging on a clothes line that Marge puts up in her office in the garage.
