The Journey Today

Guess where we went today. The photos below are our journey. This is right outside the train station close to Rika's parents house (close is a relative term)
Walking some more to our destination

Most malls have grocery stores on the first floor.

And here we are!

On the way back. The kids liked this hamburger display, and wondered how anyone can eat the top burger that is nearly a foot tall.

A hamburger display? Are they edible? I love that you guys went to Toys R' Us! Was that really where you were going or did you see it on the way there? Elann- will you bring me back a bionicle? Thanks!

Elann and Kanami look soooo tired as they are walking to the mall! It must have been pretty far away! I noticed that a lot of the signs in the picture of Toys R Us are in English...I really have nothing too say about that just a detail.

How are Elann & Kanami coming on their ability to speak Japanese? Keep the pictures coming please.

Most of the restaurants here have a wax display of what they serve out front. Our goal yesterday was Toys r'us because they wouldn't have the same toys, there were a few of the same ones but most of them were different.
By the time we are on our way back the kids are pretty tired. The Train station closest to Rika's parents house is about 1/3 a mile. The Toys r' us was about the same distance away from the station we got off at. Every day they are walking a minimum of a mile if we go anywhere. Today we are renting a car and driving to a place called Nara. It has a huge buddah statue.
The kids are not trying to speak Japanese as much as we would like. They just keep talking to eachother in English and won't try to speak Japanese. That's okay, we've only been here a week (which is the deadline I gave Elann to be able to speak. I guess I will have to extend it a week more).
