On Dec. 12, 2013 a huge rock fell from the cliff above and obliterated a two story house in Rockville. The two residents were killed. You can see the debris trail from the top of the cliff down to the house.
I was standing in front of this ghost town house at Grafton, Utah when I had a strange feeling I'd been here before. "What a great place to film Butch Cassidy riding a bicycle. An Internet search later confirmed me idea.
1866 was a tough year for Grafton. 23 of the 152 inhabitants died. Isabelle, her sister, and her father were killed by Indians. The others died of disease except for two little girls whose cause of death was listed as, "Swing broke."
The western edge of Sand Hollow State Park. This massive dune is a favorite play ground for side-by-side OHVs. They drive over the edge and fly down the steep slope to the canyon floor over 400' below.
Our ATVs only got about 10 mpg in the sand. Sand Hollow Res. can be seen to right in the background.
We found this BLM road that took us up onto 4 mesas. It was awesome.
