Mt. Hood Stuga

This past weekend we rented a cabin with another family here in Portland. The cabin sat on 26 acres of private forest land near the base of Mt. Hood with it's own river and a lot of hiking trails.

Here is the gate and bridge that crosses the river to the cabin.

The cabin is designed and decorated with a Swedish stuga (cottage) style. It was very nice.

There was a very smooth swing set up at the crest of a hill.

 Swinging in the dark.

The forest around the cabin had all kinds of cool little things set up, like these glowing mushrooms, and a fully lit intricate chandelier hanging in the woods.

We hiked around the forest near the cabin looking for these little hidden secrets and just enjoying the beauty of the place.

And we went sledding, but there was not a lot of snow. Eva was a trooper. She was not scared at all and went down on the sled face first by herself.

And one last shot of Eva sleeping in the shower. She told us she wanted to sleep in there, then laid out her towel and went to sleep.

This looks like a magical fairy land and I'm so jealous that you got to have fun there!
