7 Months Old!

This little kid is 7 months old!  She's not a little baby anymore!  She's still little though.  She weighs 14 lbs (7th percentile), is 26 inches long (45th percentile), and has a big Johnson head (17 inches or the 75th percentile).  She's a pretty happy baby especially now that she's cut her first tooth.  It took two weeks to make it's first appearance but seems to be stuck in the gums with only the tip showing.  I can see another one right next to it that's on its way out.

Eva likes (actually LOVES) making noises all the time.  She screams, jabbers, laughs, coos, giggles all day long.  I love hearing her.
She's getting pieces of the act of crawling but hasn't quite put them all together.  She can lift her chest and butt up but not at the same time.  She has her own very slow army crawl to reach toys (glasses, paper, garbage on the floor) or anything she can put into her mouth.  Bennett caught her chewing on my shoe today.  I guess her taste buds aren't involved in her desire to stick stuff in her mouth.
BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! She stopped crying for every single nap and goes to sleep when I put her down.  This has been my prayer for the past 7 months and I honestly never thought it would happen.  It's so hard to hear your babe crying and it's soooooooooo nice when she doesn't cry at all and just goes to sleep.
She's finally getting some red/brown hair.  I hope she grows up with red locks because I think it's pretty cute.  It will match the food on her face.

She started eating solid foods (can you tell?).  She has eaten everything I've given her but she wasn't a big fan of mashed potatoes and formula (hence the video below).  So far we've tried apples, pears, bananas, carrots, bread (loves bread!), Cream of Wheat and rice cereal.  I'm impressed with how willingly she's tried and eaten everything.  So far meal time hasn't been a battle (hopefully our battle in the sleep field was enough for a lifetime and we never have to fight another battle- not over toys, not over clothing, not over curfew or boyfriends...).

I love this baby.  She makes me happy.  The end.

If a kid was willing to eat her Mom's shoe, why wouldn't she eat the real stuff? I love your posts

I love this baby too! I miss her! I have her pics as my desktop background to remind me that there is sweetness in the world! You need that in NY. That last pic looks just like you when you were a baby.
