By the way, I have been working on Katie's new song and am progressing to a point that I feel is conducive to being musically sound. There will probably be two versions of this song.

what the summer is made of..

So i know you all enjoy the updates on my life in provo because well after all it is the most exciting thing in your life! So here we go...

my summer roommates.. rachel is from all over the world right now her family resides in Thiland, Natalie is my favorite! she works in the pr department at the church office building, amanda is from North carolina and is almost engaged, julie is from so cali and is going to be an elementary teacher, becky is from washington and cloggs like no other! for about a really boring month me and amanda were alone in the apt, lame!

first family home evening of the summer in my apt.. now 2 people are engaged since this first meeting!

Hiking stewart falls with my roommates I have a new job at a company called Family Impact, they sell educational material about parenting.. its really good stuff. anyway I was all alone in the office for 3 eight hour days last week waiting for phone calls but not getting any so i decided to do some water color! it is supposed to be grace kelly.

Last Sunday a group of us played some sweet croquet, it was required for everyone to dress up and speak in an english accent = so much fun! this is all the boys laughing at something very witty i said! hehe

The elders quorum was having a manrichment one night and we came and bombed them with water baloons pretending we were bringing treats in plastic bags! wahaha.. needless to say they got their revenge! I was so embarrased driving with that on the window!

I took a sweet trip to moab, arches, and blanding for the 4th of july with some ward buddies! here are the highlights!

sam is next to me if you have heard of him. this is the cabin we stayed at in blanding with somebodies parents. the fireworks were less than bland!

This is me punching a cop car! one night i was at dennys with some guys and one of them dared the other to chug cholula ( hot sauce) and he would punch a cop car, super random, but the kid did it and I am still waiting for him to do it.

my favorite arch.. we stayed under there with our feet in the sand for like a half hour! so nice

who knew there was a beautiful forest right next to moab.. this is where we camped the first night, so pretty!

This is dedicated to you mom, it is my engagement pic, but as you can see I am alone because the boys didnt want to be in it with me.. if only you were there mom!

Well there you go, there is just a taste of the crazyness going on in my life this summer! I hope your life is much more exciting now!

I'm one step closer to shaving my hair off!

Here's my new do and I love it! The stylist did such a good job. I figure that once this dye starts to wear off and it's time for a new hair cut then I'll just get out the old clippers and shave it all off. Does anyone else feel like their hair is a chain and only when it's completely shaved off then they will be truely free? No? Maybe this is a new topic for me and my therapist.

He's here! Joel (haven't deteremined the middle name yet) Allison is here! He came on July 24th and weighs just over 8 lbs and is 19 inches long. Emalee is doing great.

Josh looked more tired than Emalee but couldn't help but smile when we said congratulations to him. He looked so happy to have a son. Emalee looked surprisingly awake and alert considering she just gave birth. Congratulations Josh and Emalee.

Bear Lake Bonanza 2009

The Johnson clan partied harder than the G.O.P. this weekend at Bear Lake. We snorkelled, went wakeboarding, ate raspberry shakes and played a few rounds of "Name That Triple Threat" around the campfire. The weather was beautiful and only minor sunburns were suffered.

The return of Katie's favorite game "Blindfolded Jello eating/flinging". She always gets eople to play but somehow she herself has never once participated.

WAKEBOARDING!! Katie got up like a pro despite never having done it before.

Then she succesfully slapped the lake with her face just to prove that she could do it.

We brought along a wind up disposable camera so we could take pictures while the ride was going.

If you have never ridden next to Katie at an amusement park put that on your "must do" list. She alternates between crying, screaming and holding down vomit the entire ride. My stomch hurt after the first two rides from laughing so hard.
