Who needs a mortgage?

We've been looking around for a new place to live. We plan on being evicted in January or Februaury but we've already found two great places. They both have humongous yards, air conditioning and still have the original hardwood floors. Both houses are a steal, I won't mention prices out of modesty but many of you have probably paid more for a candy bar than we will for which ever home we choose to squat, I mean live in.

Option A:

The foundation will need a little repair work and we will probably have to replace a few shingles around the chimney but other than that it is a beautiful home. Just look at the craftsmanship around the windowless windows (remember that air conditioning I mentioned).

and another great bonus; just check out the view! Imagine waking up every morning and getting a crystal clear view of these mountains (completely unobstructed by glass I might remind you).

Option B:

With a little bit of work I think I could have that windmill running again. Get that baby pumping out some brackish well water and maybe even set up a little grist mill for some homemade flour and bread. Another positive; just look at the size of that yard:
There seriously isn't another occupied home within a six mile radius and there isn't a city for 22 miles. The house still has the original bronze door knobs and an amazingly comfortable rustic feel to it.

And it was recently painted this century.

This particular house doesn't have modern plumbing but there is a cess pool only 50 yards away; handy for bathing and recreation. As you can obviously see we have a very difficult decision, so we would appreciate any help in choosing our future home. Let us know which place you think is best.

I enjoy option 2 because it has a nice pool in the back. I probably gets around 120*F in Logan.

I don't think you can go wrong on either one. But if I had to make a choice, I would go with house #1. The resale value is probably higher although the windmill on #2 is hard to pass up.

I say the one with the bent door knob (#2), it adds character to an otherwise cookie-cutter house.

Did you guys take those pics, or are you just a plagiarizer, ha! But really, if you did take them, quite artistic.

So when are you two country-dwellers going to visit us back in civilization? Let me know when you next trip down here will be, we'll bribe you with some din din.

Hope you are doing well, and surviving school
