So when Andrew and I were in nursery there was this lady who brought in her favorite book to read to the innocent children. It is called "Love You Forever" and it is the scariest, psychopathic book I've ever read. It's about this mom who sings the following song to her child:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.
Now the scary part comes in when you read the situations where she sings the song to the boy. Here they are:
1. "at night time, when that two-year-old was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth." (you need to be reading this out loud in a deep, dark voice).
OK so he's two, that's not so bad...
2. "at night time, when he was asleep, the mother quietly opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep, she picked up that nine-year-old boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth."
He's nine! What is she thinking!!
3. "at night time, when that teenager was asleep, the mother opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep she picked up that great big boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth"
A teenager! This is getting way out of control!
4. Beware!! Here comes the worst one. It involves breaking and entering! "He grew until he was a grown-up man. He left home and got a house across town. But sometimes on dark nights the mother got into her car and drove across town. If all the lights in her son's house were out, she opened his bedroom window, crawled across the floor, and looked up over the side of his bed. If that great big man was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth."
Can you imagine this scenario? In the book it actually had an illustration of the mom coming through his window. His wife is probably sleeping right next to him while his psychopathic mother invades his personal space when he's most vulnerable. If my Mom did that to me I'd be calling the cops.
Think about it.

Penny actually tried this once when Katie and I were first married, but she's so old and could barely see and she picked me up instead of Katie which led to a black eye for Penny and the filing of a restraining order and several years of therapy for me.
She tried it with me too! And we're in Arizona!!!
Come on guys . . . I only did it once!
