I'm so blessed to be born into such a wonderful establishment called the Allison Family. I love them! There's no where else in the world that I would rather be than with my family. I'm feeling so thankful to Heavenly Father for the sealing ordinance because I get to be with these people for eternity.
Everyone's heard the saying that when it rains it pours but I'll bet you've never heard the saying that when it rains the dam breaks (that's because I just made that up). My family's been entrenched in that flood the past few months now. Two days ago Spencer (my cute little nephew) was playing upstairs and fell out the window onto the concrete two stories below. He was flown to the Primary Children's Hospital and is now in the ICU. He's alive and I heard today that he's responding and talking. He has a fractured skull but (thank you, thank you, thank you!) nothing else appears to be wrong or broken. Julie has Trigeminal Neuralgia which causes her immense facial pain even with the slightest breeze on her and just had brain surgery to hopefully cure it but it will take some time (after all, she just had brain surgery and how many people can say that?). Christine was diagnosed with Celiac's Disease which is a gluten intolerance and can't have anything with wheat in it. She's had to completely re-learn how to eat and cook. Have you ever been in the Health Food stores? It's not cheap! Rika found out last week that she broke her foot a year ago and has been walking around all this time. Is that all? Oh, Bennett just found out he's married to me and we all know what that means since Jake classified me as a "nag".
Even though we're treading through the flood I feel at peace. We were all fasting yesterday for Spencer and I went to the temple today and really felt how blessed we are to have each other. I feel that everything will come out okay in the end. After all, we have the greatest, most powerful "Person" in the entire universe helping us through this.
These are some pictures after Taylor's blessing last Sunday.
