Just a little sappy

I feel really happy today.  I just wanted to share!  

Above is a picture of us all eating dinner together for the first time.  Eva got a new high chair and she loves sitting in it.  Is it because she knows food is coming or because she likes seeing things from a different perspective?  Only Eva knows. 

She also got a new bath because she outgrew the newborn tub a friend gave to us.  She likes this one because the water comes higher than her legs (unlike the last one now that she's 7 months old) and she's learning the art of the splash.

Just wanted to share how much I love being a mom.  Eva is so fun!  Every day just gets better.  I absolutely love watching her development: rolling over from front to back now, sitting up all by herself (and slowly falling to the side), sitting up from lying down position (or 45 degree angle), getting her knees under her (crawling maybe in the near future), opening her mouth to a spoon, drinking out of a cup (very wet experience), and tons of talking.  I love her so much and I love being with her.  I'm beginning to see what my relationship with my mom means to my mom (now that I'm a mom).

Today has been a great day!  No cavities at the dentist, had MY very first music therapy client (I'm not working as a subcontractor) and the session went really well, I've had a week of sleeping longer at night, Eva slept the whole night through for the first time in 4 months last night, taught some piano to two adorable little girls who wanted to speak in an English accent the whole time, and ate a tasty dinner with the man I love the most (while watching The Office).  Great day.
