We went to visit Grandma Gorin in Olympia on Monday. It was the first time that she got to meet Bennett and Eva. She thought Eva was adorable. The best way to explain her impression of Bennett is with this story:
We went to eat lunch at the cafeteria in her complex. Grandma Gorin couldn't finish the food on her plate and so she slid it across the table to Bennett and in a very affirmative voice she said, "You're a husky fellow. You look like you eat a lot. Finish that." This was after knowing Bennett for about fifteen minutes. Bennett knew after that that he really liked this lady. After lunch she took us to her apartment and showed us a photo album from when she was growing up. She looks just like Penny as a young woman.
After visiting Grandma we went and walked around the grounds of the Washington state capitol building. The capitol building sits on a hill overlooking the Puget sound and it was very pretty.
Eva didn't know what to think about being laid down on the damp grass for a picture.
Bennett gave Eva a civics lesson on the inefficiencies of government. Ron Swanson would have been proud.
Notice that guy roped off on the right side of the dome?

Who is Meg? Anyway, looks like you guys had a good time! Glad Eva got to meet Gma!
KATIE!! Your baby is adorable. I watched her sounds video and I started crying with her first cry...and your first baby cry. I am so happy for you and Bennett.
The boys especially like her baby butt picture.
Thanks Lindsey! I'm grateful that Bennett got her first cry on video. Have you posted pictures of your cute little one on your blog? What I've seen of her on Facebook is adorable.
Yeah! Who is Meg? Bennett made this post while I was logged in (can you tell? I don't usually call my mom "Penny"). I'm not sure why it says I'm Meg.
