Best Beach Vacation EVER!!!!

Since we didn't make it back to Salt Lake City this year for Christmas we decided to take a vacation to the Oregon coast. We rented a little condo on the beach near Newport, Oregon. It was a beautiful weekend. Each day was in the 50's and sunny! It was a miracle to get three straight days of sun on the coast in winter time.

Nothing like a beautiful sunset to inspire some muck slinging.

 Eva did not like the taste of sea water mixed with sand.

 We visited two different lighthouses. The one below is the lighthouse seen in the lighthearted 2002 family movie, "The Ring".

 We also went to the world's stinkiest cave, the world famous Sea Lion Cave on the coast. It is a very large cave in the cliff side and the it opens right onto the sea. There were over 200 sea lions in the cave and the smell was horrendous! Katie could only stay in the cave for about 5 minutes before she was about to throw up.

Christmas time

It was a wonderful Christmas here in Oregon. We went and watched the christmas lights boat parade on the Willamette river.

Eva got a little kid broom and dustpan for Christmas. She really likes helping clean up. She also got a magnet board with a bunch of different shaped magnets that you use to make pictures out of, as well as some new clothes.

Owl

We found this owl in our backyard in one of the many birdhouses.

Hopefully he will make it his home and keep the mice/rats away.

Can't waste the sunshine
