What happens to the hipster when the hipster becomes trendy?
Katie and I went to a street fair/market that is held here in Portland every month on the last Thursday of every month. They close the street off to traffic, the art galleries along the road stay open later and offer free food and the street is filled with artists, musicians, food stands, booths and weirdos. Every time we would walk by the different bands playing Eva would start to bounce, kick her feet and sing in little "ooohs and aaahs." It was very cute.
Here we have some lame-o, not quite hip hipsters. To see some more pics of some of the artists and people at the event you can check out www.sidewalkaintforfancywalkin.blogspot.com

I'll be good.
Last night Eva was starting to get fussy, whiny and clingy which usually means that it is time for bed. So we got her ready for bed, read a story and put her in her crib pretty close to her normal bedtime. Normally she goes to sleep pretty easily and without crying or fussing but last night she was crying and screaming once we laid her down so we thought something was wrong. Katie tried holding her and soothing her 3 different times and fed her a bottle but she would still scream once Katie laid her down. So we let her stay up a little later and play. What was interesting was that once she was allowed some extra play time she acted like an angel. She was no longer fussy or clingy. She played by herself and actually seemed to be making a conscious effort to keep Katie and I happy (she kept looking over and giving cute little smiles). She knew that the key to staying up later was to not annoy mom and dad. Still poops in her pants and can't talk but she is already adept at subterfuge.

Here's a video of Eva walking for (one of) the first time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYyFJMysIv8&feature=youtu.be
The blinks in the video were when I took pictures of Eva. My camera will let me take pictures while filming.

Summer Park Swim
These were takin at a park in downtown Portland. The rocks are set up in a large crescent shape that creates a bowl at the base that fills with water while the waterfalls are going. The pool fills up to about a foot deep then the waterfalls stop and the water slowly drains out and then it all starts over again about every 15 minutes. There are a lot of kids running around and having fun.
