Weekend Update

Here are a few bulletins of the major stories that happened this past week for the Johnson's:

          - For Mother's Day Bennett took Katie to her favorite place in Oregon, Cape Lookout state park. (see above photo) (and below photos)

          - The Goatseses (Rob and Vienna) and the Norriseses (Adam and Natalie) (friends from Logan) stopped by to visit on their way from San Francisco to Seattle. They have the most adorable little girl, the Goatses do, not the Goatseses and the Norriseses together. Their baby's name is Magnolia so we took them to see the magnolia garden. Rob's nickname in high school was "Hobo Joe" so we took him to see the homeless people under the freeway at night. (Rob, I don't know if you actually read this blog, but if you do don't be offended by the nickname "hobo Joe" it was meant as a compliment) (Also I hope it is ok that we put pictures of you and your family on our blog) (if not, then tell us so and we will shut the blog down immediately) (many parentheses ( ) makes fore many funness)

            - On Thursday night at approximately 2:37 am Bennett forcefully got out of bed, yelled "Nuts to this!" and with an angry gait and a scowl left the bedroom to go sleep on the couch. No word as to what caused the angry outburst but we believe it had something to do with something Katie did. Katie denies any involvement in the strange behavior.

          - On Monday Katie and Bennett went to the Rhododendron garden. Katie was caught trying to sneak a large round boulder out of the garden by concealing it under her shirt.

             - On Saturday Katie and Bennett purchased a whole lotta little kids books for their soon to be baby girl. Bennett was very excited.

             - On Sunday, Bennett referred to himself in the third person.

7 Months Preggo

I forgot to add my 7 months pregnancy photo so here it is.  I think I had a real contraction last night and if that's what they feel like, I'm getting the epidural.  It was intense!  Anyway, I'll be posting my 8th month photo in two weeks and then there's only 4 weeks left to go!  I'm excited to see my baby's face.

Lan Su Chinese Gardens

In downtown Portland there is an authentic chinese garden, built by chinese artisans with materials and plants shipped from China. It takes up a whole city block and is remarkably peaceful for being in the middle of a city.

Channeling my inner Confucius

My first articles in the news!

Many of you know that I do social media and pitch reporters all day long. Most of the time newspapers just put the press release in the newspaper, but his time I got an actual article. I am pretty proud. USA Today picked up the article and it was in their paper as well. Horray!
