Not really sick yet...

Hey-o! I just wanted to let you know the status of my nausea thus far. I'm working on my 6th week of pregnancy and feeling pretty good! The nausea has been hitting me a little harder each day but it's not that bad. I haven't puked or sat around because I don't feel well enough to go do something. I'm hoping this continues! I could live like this for the first trimester (that's what I say now...). The only symptoms I've had from pregnancy so far are cramps, feeling like my clothes don't fit because of lovely bloating and not feeling like eating food. Although, I had a pretty good veggie bowl from the Portland food carts for lunch today. Mmmmm! Bennett got the pulled pork/onion ring/flat bread sandwich thing. He says his was good but I think mine was better. Anyway, I wanted to leave you with a picture of what our baby looks like so far. (This isn't our baby, I just found this picture of a 6 week old embryo on line).

Yes, we are having an alien. We will call her Sigourney for now.

4 weeks

This is Katie at 4 weeks pregnant. Oddly enough it looks just like Katie at 0 weeks pregnant but we are really excited so we have started with the obligatory weekly pictures for the next 36 weeks. On a creative side note, Katie made the dress she is wearing. Able to make a dress and a baby in the same day, is there anything my wife can't do?

Wait, is that one line or two?

I don't even want to know what goes through your head. I've said it a bazillion time. I have no idea what you're thinking most of the time. Especially on that last one. I hope those are fish and not his organs

It was a rainy day here in Oregon for our trip down to Silver Falls State Park. We went hiking to a bunch of different waterfalls. The fall colors are just starting to show here. That first waterfall you see is 177 feet high and you can walk behind it.

Mandalas

A while back Katie introduced to mandalas. Mandalas are a hindu/buddhist tradition where a drawing of a circle, meant to represent the universe or self, is used as a means of meditation and discovery of the unconscious. They are an enjoyable and productive way for me to be creative and therapize myself at the same time. Anyway, I thought I would share them, more for their artistic value (or lack thereof) than for their psycho-analytical qualities (feel free however to make any assumptions pertaining to my mental health). Most are unfinished drawings that were just a representation of something I was feeling or thinking about at the time.

Cute Pics of Michael

Michael wears a bow-tie

Mohave County Fair

This month was a big one in Kingman! The fair came to town. Last year there was a guy blowing up helium balloons and smoking a cigarette. I was hoping for another spectacular show this year, but alas, he was nowhere to be found.

Here's michael watching the Merry-Go-Round. It was $6 to ride, and we thought he enjoyed watching it as much as he would have riding it.

Here he is petting a goats butt. (the goat pooped right after this...it was a close call)

And here he is telling the pony to back off. He didn't really like this one.

Alpaca Days!

Hooray! It's time for Kingman's annual Alpaca Days! It was about 13 miles outside of town, held at a mobile home, and there were women there selling crochet animals. Awesome, huh?
Here's Michael screaming, "Sunny, eat" (the Alpaca was named Sunny)

Here's Michael trying to feed the Alpaca a rock.

And here's Sunny, who finally showed up to "eat"

christine gets crafty

So I've been super crafty lately and made the following:
