The Great Pumpkin

This is our only pumpkin that grew in our garden. Throughout the summer we had about 15 to 18 others start to grow but like the fat kid in the lunchroom this baby ate up everything and left nothing for the others.

A Cool Story

I was climbing a pole for work the other day and i got about 12 feet up when my spikes cut out and I fell to the ground. I wasn't hurt too bad, I tore my pants and my shirt and I had a sore ankle for a couple of days but the coolest part happened two days later. i was sitting on the couch at night when I felt a slight itch near my ribs. I lifted my shirt up and saw a black dot about as big around as a pencil lead and it was dark black. My first thought was that it was a tick so i got some tweasers and started pulling on it. I was a little surprised when it kept coming out. I had a sliver from the pole about an inch long that had gone straight into me between my ribs. Thats my cool story for the day.

Labor Day Camping

We went camping with our neighbors Dave and Mikelle (the same neighbors that we put the scary drawing in their bathroom window)
The view near our campground was incredible. You could see Huntsville, Cache valley and the Great Salt lake.

I played around with the camera at night and got these neat shots. It looks like Mikelle has lazer eyes or is being aducted by aliens

I really like the moon in the background.

Dave and I played some rockball while Katie sat nearby trying to hit the batter in the crotch with rocks anytime you would swing. She thought it was hilarious.
We did plenty of hiking.

And we saw a moose, a deer and a lot of squirrels.

My Grandma

Frieda Allison
October 15, 1930 – August 31, 2009

My Grandma died in her sleep on August 31st. It was very surprising because I saw her last Saturday and she looked healthy and told me about her plans to continue taking painting classes and about her calling in the primary. I'm so glad I got to see her one last time and talk to her. Her viewing and burial were simple yet I felt the Spirit there. I'm happy knowing that I'm a part of her eternal family and that death cannot break that sealing. I love you Grandma!
